Romancing The South || Charleston, SC

Long ago drew and i decided we wanted our babies to see the world and that we wanted to be the ones to show them it.  And so our travels begin.

There were bare foot toes on airplane seats, fried foods, oysters tasted for the first time, manicured gardens and the cypress forest. We saw segregation, slave cabins, diaper changes in the back of the car, lips drenched in homemade Oreo ice cream, live oaks, Spanish moss, and farm animals.  We found the Lowcountry, ate pancakes for dinner and listened to jazz music.  We nursed by the pool, browsed used book stores, scaled rocks and climbed hills.  There was inequality, plantations, and history, pretty pastel buildings, cupcakes, and buds just starting to bloom.
